Rate valid as of March 1, 2010. This is a limited time offer which may be withdrawn at any time. The current interest rate on the 30 Month Option CD is 2.13% with an annual percentage yield (APY) of 2.15%. A $1,000.00 minimum balance is required to open the account and balances in excess of $1,000,000.00 may be subject to a reduced rate. A substantial penalty may be imposed for any additional early withdrawal beyond the one time limit. If Old Southern Bank's 30 month CD interest rate should exceed 2.13% during the original term of the Option CD, customer may elect to receive the higher rate without having to extend the maturity date. This offer is available only at Old Southern Bank's offices in Orange, Seminole and Lake Counties, Florida. Even though the 2.15% APY is guaranteed for the original term, this is considered a variable rate account because of the one time option to increase the rate.
